The 15th China – Europe International Symposium on Software Engineering Education (CEISEE 2019) will be held in Hotel Aldeia dos Capuchos Golf & SPA, in Caparica, near Lisbon (Portugal). The Aldeia dos Capuchos Golf & SPA hotel, located at the entrance to the historic Vila dos Capuchos, known for its unique character and the majestic presence of the Convent, is in itself a magnificent belvedere overlooking the sea. CEISEE will be organized by UNINOVA - Institute for the Development of New Technologies and University of Minho, and co-organized by HIT Harbin Institute of Technology (China) and DIT Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland).

UNINOVA is a non-profit University-Enterprise association, that was formed in 1986. The main theme of UNINOVA is to pursue scientific research, technical development, high level training and the creation of new technological innovation centers and small size industries.

Caparica is a Portuguese civil parish, located in the municipality of Almada, just besides Lisbon, along the western coast of the district of Setúbal. Caparica is famous for its beaches with white sand and for its traditional fishing.

Travelling

Humberto Delgado International Airport is the mais gateway to the Lisbon region and is used by the main European airlines.

Land at Lisbon International Airport which is just a mere 20 km from Caparica. It takes around 3 hours to reach Lisbon from the main European capitals in the center of Europe.

If you prefer to come by car, there are excellent roads from various points north and south along the border with Spain.

National and international trains arrive every day at Santa Apolónia station (Lisbon), which is very close to all the traditional neighbourhoods and Terreiro do Paço. But if you would like to add a unique architectural experience to your arrival, get off at Gare do Oriente, whose Calatrava-designed lines impress even those who see it every day (Comboios de Portugal: https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/pt).


How to get to Aldeia dos Capuchos Golf & SPA

After arriving in Lisbon by plane or train, the best way to get to Aldeia dos Capuchos is by taxi.

During the day, it should cost roughly 30 €. Please be aware that you only pay what is marked, which includes luggage, plus toll back to Lisbon (1.75 €). During the night, it should cost roughly 40 €. Taxis have meters so make sure the driver is using it. There is an initial flag-fall or bandeirada charge and then a charge for the distance covered. Taxis are also more expensive at night (usually 10pm-6am), weekends and public holidays and charge for luggage carried in the trunk (boot). It is slightly more expensive if you phone for a taxi than pick one up on the street.
